PP特性:

它的分子结构与聚乙烯相似,但是碳链上相间的碳原子带有一个甲基(–CH3)。聚丙烯比聚乙烯稍微要脆一些,熔融温度为160°C。
  通常为半透明无色固体,无臭无毒。
  由于结构规整而高度结晶化,故熔点高达167℃,耐热,制品可用蒸汽消毒是其突出优点。
  密度0.90g/cm3,是最轻的通用塑料。
  耐腐蚀,抗张强度30MPa,强度、刚性和透明性都比聚乙烯好。
  缺点是耐低温冲击性差,较易老化,但可分别通过改性和添加抗氧剂予以克服。


 PP的应用


  (1)注射成型制品: 是聚丙烯最大的应用领域,制品有周转箱、容器、手提箱、汽车部件(汽车内饰件,如仪表盘;挡泥板、通风管、风扇;保险杠)、家用电器部件、医疗器械(一次性针筒)、器械(洗碗机门衬垫、干燥机通风管、洗衣机框架及机盖、冰箱门衬垫等、日用消费品(草坪和园艺设备如剪草机和喷水器等)和家具。
  (2)挤出制品:制成聚丙烯纤维,也可制成聚丙烯薄膜,其中双向拉伸薄膜的强度和透明度都大幅度提高,是重要的包装用高分子材料。
  聚丙烯是用途最为广泛的通用塑料,它即可以作为塑料使用也可以纺丝制成纤维(丙纶)。丙纶是低吸水性,高耐腐蚀性的纤维,可以用于服装和家具,特别适合织造地毯。也可挤出或吹塑制成薄膜,再经牵伸切割为扁丝,制编织袋,或作捆扎材料——打包带。近年聚丙烯复合薄膜发展很快,可防湿、隔气和蒸煮,用作食品和饮料软包装。
  聚丙烯管道用于输送热水—PPR管、工业废水和化学品。
  板材用于制作容器。
  (3)热成型制品:薄片经热成型加工制成薄壁制品,用作一次性使用的食品容器——饮水杯。
   其他,如吹塑制品,聚丙烯广泛地用于食品包装,如酸乳容器、热灌装饮料瓶。玩具。通过特殊的催化方法(茂金属催化技术)还可以制成分别带有全同和无规链段的嵌段聚丙烯。这种聚丙烯的性质和橡胶类似。
