Antazoline hydrochloride (4,5-diazo-N-phenylmethyl-1H-imidazole-2-methylamine hydrochloride) is an ethylenediamine histamine receptor antagonist with antihistamine and anticholinergic effects. It can interfere with the permeability of myocardial cell membranes to potassium and sodium ions, thereby slowing down the conduction velocity between myocardial fibers. Clinically, it is mainly used to treat ventricular premature beats and tachycardia caused by digoxin, and belongs to Class IA antiarrhythmic drugs. At present, research on the safety and efficacy of amtazoline hydrochloride focuses on its clinical application, as well as the determination of drug content in its formulations using spectroscopic and chromatographic methods. However, there have been no reports on the determination of its biological sample content and pharmacokinetic studies.
